Mother's Day

I had a lovely day.  During the week, the girls planted some flowers for me and painted to pots--so creative!  They were really excited for me to see their pots.  Over the weekend, the girls and Dad went out and got me flowers to plant in the yard for mother's day.  Then we had the family over for a BBQ and all of the cousins wanted to dress up and dance in the yard...so cute together!

Another 10k with Angie

I made my poor sister join me in another 5k run.  We ran in the 10th anniversary Colorado Marathon race and made a slow and steady pace of 1 hour 5 minutes.  We both agreed that 6.2 miles is the furthest we want to run in one setting!  It was fun to run with her and the fam came out to watch us cross the finish line.  Our father did point out that lots of people finished before us and asked us what was taking us so long....seriously right?  My grandpa Glen was out too and got to witness the event too.  We all went to the Egg and I for breakfast after the race--it was a nice family outing.

Thirsties Event

The girls went to Thirsties diaper changing event (Johnny's dad and brother's company) and had their faces painted.  They really enjoyed it (Carter was having fun and her face is so precious isn't it?)  They wanted to sleep with their faces painted.  Rylyn was a butterfly and Carter had two strawberries on her cheek.

Clydesdale Horses

Grammie, Aunt Michelle, and Uncle Nick took the girls to the Budweiser "Root Beer" plant to see the Clydesdale horses.  The girls were amazed at how big the horses were and got to have their picture taken with them.  The cousins were fascinated with all of the horses and had lots of questions about their obvious male parts...

The princess cousins so excited to go inside-this was Carter's first time going to the show
Aunt Angie and Uncle Bryan took the girls again to see Disney on Ice at the event center.  The girls were dressed up in their princess gear for the event.  Bryan is going to need to step it up a notch and get a princess dress for next year if he wants to hang with the girls again.  They got yummy treats, princess statues/dolls, and spent time with Angie and Bryan--what a fun tradition!

Silly Girls

Always laughing

The girls like to wrestle with each other--it is like WWF in our living room.

Spring Break in Steamboat

Rena, Owen, and Ryan
We went to Steamboat for the first weekend of my spring break.  We went with our friends Rena, Ryan, and their son, Owen.  We hung out, cruised around the town, window shopped, and ate lots of yummy food.  Two highights of the trip: Johnny forgot the girls packed bag for the weekend--oops--and we went to Wamart to buy the girls the stuff we left-pjs, diapers, underware, clothes, toothbrushes, hair clips...you name it!!  The second highlight was when the door knob to the condo we were staying at got stuck and we couldn't get into the condo. Of course it happened on a cold and snowy Sunday so we waited out in the car and used the sled to keep the girls busy unitl the locksmith came...it was about an hour or so before we were in the house.  Good times.
